  • A new Tomato virus was identified in the Indian Ocean, named the Tomato Yellow Leaf Curl Reunion Virus (TYLCREV). It is a recombinant virus, from the Tomato Yellow Leaf Curl Virus and two less known viruses from Madagascar.
  • The global tomato juice market represents around 100,000metric tons of finished products and close to 87 million US dollars.
