California: Weekly tonnage as of 20 July 2025
The harvest season started at the same time as last year, with small quantities of organic tomatoes. Figures collected by the PTAB show that California processing tomato deliveries are gradually increasing to peak within a few weeks.
For week three (ending July 20th) PTAB is estimating 462,910 metric tonnes (t) (510,271 short tons) were delivered to the factories. Week four (ending July 27th) is estimated to be 687,857 t (758,233 short tons) which would bring the year-to-date total to an estimated 1,349,778 t (1,487,876 short tons).

The 2025 California Organic processing tomato deliveries for the week two (ending July 13th) were 65,464 t (72,162 short tons).

If the weekly projections come true, the projected quantities on July 20 would represent approximately 7.1% of the California processors’ target (9.34 million t) and would be 24.4% above the average quantities delivered on the same date over past five years.
