California: Weekly tonnage as of 27 July 2025
The harvest season started at the same time as last year, with small quantities of organic tomatoes. Figures collected by the PTAB show that California processing tomato deliveries are gradually increasing to peak within a few weeks.
For week four (ending July 27th) PTAB is estimating 649,303 metric tonnes (t) (715,734 short tons) were delivered to the factories. Week five (ending August 3rd) is estimated to be 857,741 t (945,498 short tons) which would bring the year-to-date total to an estimated 2,165,423 t (2,386,970 short tons).

The 2025 California Organic processing tomato deliveries for the week three (ending July 20th) were 73,242 t (80,736 short tons).

If the weekly projections come true, the projected quantities on July 27 would represent approximately 14% of the California processors’ target (9.34 million t) and would be 20.8% above the average quantities delivered on the same date over past five years.
