IO Central-Southern Basin: a new president

Mr Guglielmo Vaccaro was elected as the new President of the IO Processing Tomato for the Central and Southern Italian Basin for the next three years. The election took place on February 1st, during the annual shareholders' meeting, at the Experimental Station for the Food Preservation of Angri. 
 Vaccaro will be joined by the two vice presidents Vincenzo Di Massa and Filippo Torrente and the new Coordinating Committee composed, further to the two vice presidents, by Pasquale Attianese, Michele Cirillo, Matteo Falcucci, Angelo Garofano, Giuseppe Grasso, Filomena Sacco, Luciano Simonetti, Giuseppe De Filippo and Fabrizio Marzano – representing the agricultural part – and Lino Cutolo, Pasquale D'Acunzi, Vincenzo De Clemente, Fabio Grimaldi, Andrea Ferraioli, Gianmarco Laviola, Nicola Palo, Annibale Pancrazio and Marco Serafini, representing the industrial side.

Guglielmo Vaccaro, 52, was a member of the Italian Parliament in the sixteenth and seventeenth legislatures and regional Councillor of Campania from 2005 to 2008. Public manager, he was, among other responsibilities, President of the Territorial Pact of Agro Nocerino Sarnese, President of the Industrial District n. 7 Nocera-Gragnano, as well as a member of the Technical Secretariat of the Minister of Agriculture Michele Pinto and of the Minister of Productive Activities Enrico Letta.
