California: Weekly tonnage as of 5 October 2025
The harvest season started at the same time as last year, with small quantities of organic tomatoes. Figures collected by the PTAB show that California processing tomato deliveries are continuing to slow down.
For week fourteen (ending October 5th) PTAB is estimating 710,863 metric tonnes (t) (783,592 short tons) were delivered to the factories. Week fifteen (ending October 12th) is estimated to be 541,308 t (596,690 short tons) which would bring the year-to-date total to an estimated 10,443,567 t (11,512,062 short tons).

The 2025 California Organic processing tomato deliveries for the week thirteen (ending September 28th) were 29,331 t (32,332 short tons).

If the weekly projections come true, the projected quantities on October 5 would represent approximately 106% of the California processors’ target (9.34 million t) and would be 7.6% above the average quantities delivered on the same date over past five years.
