The harvest season started at the same time as last year, with small quantities of organic tomatoes. Figures collected by the PTAB show that California processing tomato deliveries are now slowing down.

For week eleven (ending September 14th) PTAB is estimating 897,920 metric tonnes (t) (989,787 short tons) were delivered to the factories. Week twelve (ending September 21st) is estimated to be 800,330 t (882,213 short tons) which would bring the year-to-date total to an estimated 8,392,364 t (9,250,998 short tons). 

The 2025 California Organic processing tomato deliveries for the week ten (ending September 7th) were 26,747 t (29,483 short tons). 

If the weekly projections come true, the projected quantities on September 14 would represent approximately 81.3% of the California processors’ target (9.34 million t) and would be 9.8% above the average quantities delivered on the same date over past five years.
