The harvest season started at the same time as last year, with small quantities of organic tomatoes. Figures collected by the PTAB show that California processing tomato deliveries are continuing to slow down.

For week twelve (ending September 21st) PTAB is estimating 809,975 metric tonnes (t) (892,845 short tons) were delivered to the factories. Week thirteen (ending September 28th) is estimated to be 807,587 t (890,212 short tons) which would bring the year-to-date total to an estimated 9,205,456 t (10,147,278 short tons). 

The 2025 California Organic processing tomato deliveries for the week eleven (ending September 14th) were 26,194 t (28,874 short tons). 

If the weekly projections come true, the projected quantities on September 21 would represent approximately 89.9% of the California processors’ target (9.34 million t) and would be 8.3% above the average quantities delivered on the same date over past five years.
