California: Weekly tonnage as of 28 September 2025
The harvest season started at the same time as last year, with small quantities of organic tomatoes. Figures collected by the PTAB show that California processing tomato deliveries are continuing to slow down.
For week thirteen (ending September 28th) PTAB is estimating 776,917 metric tonnes (t) (856,404 short tons) were delivered to the factories. Week fourteen (ending October 5th) is estimated to be 793,698 t (874,902 short tons) which would bring the year-to-date total to an estimated 9,965,488 t (10,985,070 short tons).

The 2025 California Organic processing tomato deliveries for the week twelve (ending September 21st) were 26, 402 t (29,103 short tons).

If the weekly projections come true, the projected quantities on September 28 would represent approximately 98.2% of the California processors’ target (9.34 million t) and would be 7.8% above the average quantities delivered on the same date over past five years.
