California: Weekly tonnage as of 19 October 2025
The harvest season started at the same time as last year, with small quantities of organic tomatoes. Figures collected by the PTAB show that California processing tomato deliveries are slowing down even more.
For week sixteen (ending October 19th) PTAB is estimating 86,268 metric tonnes (t) (95,094 short tons) were delivered to the factories. Week seventeen (ending October 26th) is estimated to be 44,653 t (49,222 short tons) which would bring the year-to-date total to an estimated 10,568,867 t (11,650,182 short tons).

The 2025 California Organic processing tomato deliveries for the week fifteen (ending October 12th) were 18,488 t (20,379 short tons).

If the weekly projections come true, the projected quantities on October 19 would represent approximately 112.7% of the California processors’ target (9.34 million t) and would be 5.4% above the average quantities delivered on the same date over past five years.
