The Processing Tomato Advisory Board has finished the inspection season and the 2023 Final Tonnage Report is now posted on PTAB's website.  You can access by clicking on this link: FINAL2023h.pdf (ptab.org)
For quick information, the final 2023 total Paid for Tons is: 11,556,135 t (12,738,458 short tons). This result is the fourth highest in the history of tomato processing production industry in California.

According to latest and final figures collected by PTAB, the California’s 2023 processing tomato harvest actual tonnages for the week seventeen (ending November 4th) and eighteen (ending November 11th) respectively amounted to 231,143 t (metric tonnes) (254,791 short tons) and 42,488 t (46,835 short tons); this brings the 2023 season result to 11,556,135 t (12,738,458 short tons). 
California 2023 result is 12% higher than the past five year average (10.35 million t). 

The total tons 2023 season for organic processing tomato remains unchanged at 578,890 t (638,117 short tons), or 5.0% of the actual total delivered quantities. This is the third largest in the history of California organic production.

The final tonnage on November 11th represents more than 106% of the California processors' target (10.89 million t). The duration of the 2023 season is in line with the average of the last twenty years, but this campaign is one of those which ended the latest in the year.
