According to figures collected by PTAB, the California’s 2023 processing tomato harvest tonnage for the week sixteen (ending October 28th) is estimated to deliver 508,246 t (metric tonnes) (560,245 short tons) to the factories.

Week seventeen (ending November 4th) is estimated to be 302,148 t (333,061 short tons) which would bring the year-to-date total to an estimated 11,588,838 t (12,774,507 short tons). 
For actual tonnes delivered (10.8 million t) through week fifteen, California is tracking above (+9.1%) the five year average (9.878 million t). 
Data collected by PTAB for week thirteen (ending October 21st) show that YTD solids amounted to 5.17 compared to 5.25 for the same time period in the 2022 season or 0.08 lower. There were 478,970 loads delivered as of October 21, 2023, or 60,128 more than in 2022 for the same time period.
 

There was no organic processing tomato deliveries for the week fifteen (ending October 21st) so that the total tons YTD 2023 season remains unchanged at 578,890 t (638,117 short tons), or 5.4% of the actual total delivered quantities.
The current total is the third largest in the history of California organic production.
 
If the weekly projections come true, the projected quantities on November 4 would represent more than 106% of the California processors' target (10.89 million t). The duration of the 2023 season is in line with the average of the past twenty years, but this campaign is one of those which ended the latest in the year.
