According to the figures collected by PTAB regarding the 2022 California processing tomato harvest, 528,871 metric tonnes (mT) (582,981 short tons (sT)) were delivered to the factories for week fourteen (ending October 8). Week fifteen (ending October 15) is estimated to be 321,430 mT (354,316 sT) which would bring the year-to-date total to an estimated 9,260,954 mT (10,208,454 sT).
For actual tons delivered through week thirteen (8.41 million mT), California is tracking below (-14%) the five year average (9.72 million mT). Data collected by PTAB show that YTD solids amount to 5.29 compared to 5.26 for the same time period in the 2021 season or 0.03 higher. There were 365,183 loads delivered as of October 8, 2022, or 24,174 less than in 2021 for same time period.

If the weekly projections come true, the projected quantities on October 15 would represent approximately 97% of the revised California processors' target (9.525 million mT, or 10.5 million sT).
