Survey of Italian consumers on the "Sustainable tomato"

The TOMRES project is the initiative of a network of European partners funded by the European Commission.
The project intends to use tomato culture as a study model to select varieties with the appropriate qualitative-quantitative characteristics that are important for the consumer but which reduce the use of water resources and fertilizers in agricultural production. The project also optimizes the related cultivation practices (succession with leguminous plants, fertigation, precision agriculture, etc.) in organic and integrated production systems taking into consideration the socio-economic and environmental impact.
Researchers, technical experts and farmers work together in TOMRES to develop environmentally friendly tomato cropping systems with less impact on natural resources. The TOMRES partners would like to learn more about how the solutions developed by the project towards the “sustainable tomato” may be of interest of an important actor of the value chain, the consumers. To this end, a first survey has been developed for Italian consumers by the partner University of Milano.

This survey, in Italian, may be completed online at the following link
