"Les Jus de Marmande" has now become "Les Jus du Soleil"

According to a press release published on Friday 20 November 2020, the Terres du Sud cooperative group entered into a partnership agreement with the Morbihan-based group Mireolian on Friday 30 October 2020 for the sale of its operating subsidiary Les Jus de Marmande to a new structure that has been set up for this purpose: Les Jus du Soleil. The new company is 60% owned by Mireolian and 40% by Terres du Sud.

Over the past two years, major restructuring work carried out by Terres du Sud has led to a first improvement in the results of its plant specializing in the extraction and packaging of fruit and vegetable juices and purees. In order to pursue the necessary changes, the cooperative group has sought a strategic partner to jointly carry out the business development project.
With the Mireolian group and the creation of the company "Les Jus du Soleil", a second phase of recovery is now underway, with the aim of ensuring the long-term sustainability of the outfit.

Mireolian, a family group based in Morbihan (56), is made up of four companies (Aptunion (candied fruits), Valia, HLR and Bertin), located on five sites situated in Haute-Garonne, Morbihan, Oise and Vaucluse. It employs 280 people and generates EUR 71 million in turnover.
Specializing in intermediate products for the food industry, the Mireolian group has unique industrial know-how that has enabled it to help sites turn a profit when they had previously recorded insufficient results. Mireolian is keen to work with local producers with whom it has already established winning partnerships, particularly for the production of sour cherries and melons in the South-East of France.

The Terres du Sud group is structured around six branches of activity (plants, fruits and vegetables, ducks and geese, poultry, ruminants and pigs, distribution), it employs 1,497 people and generates a turnover of EUR 572 million. It includes 6,000 farmers from Lot-et-Garonne, Gironde, Dordogne and the Landes. The fact that it retains a share in the capital of Jus du Soleil makes it possible to maintain a strong link between the producers of the cooperative (tomatoes, apples, grapes, etc.) and industrial facilities. As for jobs, the management of Jus du Soleil has taken on all 47 employees of Jus de Marmande.
