The board of directors of Alimentos Españoles ALSAT S.L. has recently approved a new investment of 6 MM Euro to reduce the consumption of energy and greenhouse emissions. This new equipment will be ready for season 2024.

Depending on the season and the amount of raw material processed, ALSAT forecast a reduction of the steam consumption and CO2 emissions up to 40 %.

The project is based in the installation of a MVR (mechanical vapor recompression) pre-concentrator built by ROSSI Ingegneria Alimentare mod. THOR (with capacity of 42.000 kg/h of water evaporated). With this decarbonisation project ALIMENTOS ESPAÑOLES ALSAT S.L. follows the EU trends in the aim to reduce greenhouse emissions to the atmosphere looking for higher efficiency and competitiveness and therefore, more sustainable performance.

This new investment will allow ALSAT to cooperate with ALL our customers concerns being more environmentally friendly, reducing the C02 emissions and in fact being more sustainable. This is our contribution to a cleaner supply chain”.
