ALIMENTOS ESPAÑOLES ALSAT, S.L. will install a complete new line for the production of Tomato Pulp/Crushed Tomatoes 8-10 mm. The start-up of the new line is scheduled before the 2021 season.

With this new line, ALSAT will consolidate its position in the production of diced tomatoes and tomato pulp. "The increasing demand of this kind of products as well as our success in the commercialization of pulp (today ALIMENTOS ESPAÑOLES ALSAT, S.L. is exporting pulp all over the world) make it difficult for the company to currently satisfy all the current demand by our customers." declared Miguel Ángel Martín Antequera, the company CEO & Managing Director. "The new line, similar to the first one installed in 2016, will incorporate the latest technological advances that, together with the optimal selection of the raw material, will allow us to continue supplying to the market the highest quality and the most competitive tomato pulps."

The cost of the new investment is estimated at EUR 4.5 million and includes also substantial improvements in the capacity of the existing water treatment plant, following ALSAT's Sustainability and Environmental Management Policy, integrating sustainable development criteria in the project that guarantees an adequate management of resources and minimizing the environmental impact of our activities.

"Our focus, according to the company strategy, will remain to pack in most of the sizes currently available in the market: 10 kg and 20 kg Bag-in-Box (ALSAT has two aseptic fillers for these formats), 215 kg drum, 850 kg BIG BAG and 1.350 kg IBC’s." added Miguel Ángel Martín Antequera

After the investment ALIMENTOS ESPAÑOLES ALSAT, S.L. will be able to produce around 50.000 metric tonnes of diced tomatoes and tomato pulp per season.
