Aid totals EUR 196 /ha

On 9 March, the FEGA published the final amount of subsidies allocated to the processing tomato industry. Agricultural surfaces planted with tomatoes for processing during the 2019 season covered approximately 32 370 hectares (against 30 606 ha in 2018, amounting to an increase of almost 6%). As a result, the final amount of aid per unit has been fixed at EUR 196.178 /ha for this past season, slightly down (-5%) on the amounts fixed for the 2018 season (EUR 207.484 /ha), due to the increase in planted surfaces.
