Marco Serafini elected as the new President of ANICAV

ANICAV, the largest association representing tomato processing companies in the world, changes its leadership. On May 28, 2021, during the annual shareholders' meeting, Marco Serafini was elected as the new President for the next four years, taking up the baton of Antonio Ferraioli who has led the Association for the past eight years.

Serafini, 59, legal representative of Desco Spa, a canning company based in the Lazio region, in Pontinia, has already been at the top of the two international organizations of the tomato industry: from 2006 to 2008 he held the position of Vice President of AMITOM (Mediterranean International Association of the Processing Tomato) and from 2008 to 2010 that of President of the WPTC (World Processing Tomato Council).

Marco Serafini will be joined by the new Presidency Council formed by the Vice Presidents Pasquale D'Acunzi, Francesco Mutti, Aldo Rodolfi, Filippo Torrente and Gianluigi Di Leo, representing the Young Entrepreneurs, and by the treasurer Carmine Alfano.

In continuity with the Ferraioli Presidency, the repositioning and reputational strengthening of the Association and the sector will also continue.
