Italian specialized press announced in December 2023 that the Board of Directors of the Casalasco del Pomodoro Consortium meeting at the headquarters in Rivarolo del Re (CR) appointed Marco Sartori President of the well-known cooperative which brings together hundreds of agricultural companies located throughout the Emilia-Lombardy area dedicated to the cultivation of processing tomatoes.

Marco Sartori, 50 years old, is an agricultural entrepreneur from Cremona who has been a member of Casalasco for over 30 years and Vice President of the Cooperative since 2007; his appointment represents a clear indication of continuity, ensuring the central role of the agricultural component in the first tomato supply chain in Italy.

Sartori's appointment became necessary following the resignation presented in preceding days by Paolo Voltini, president of the Cremona Agricultural Consortium, president of Coldiretti Cremona and former president of Coldiretti Lombardia, who has been at the helm of the Casalasco Consortium for over twenty years.

At his side, Claudio Spagnoli, an important tomato producer in the province of Mantua, was elected as vice president.
