Damavand is a privately owned tomato processing company based in Greece, with a two-generation tradition in the industrial tomato sector. The company operates a state-of-the-art processing facility in Filia, Karditsa, located in the heart of Thessaly, the country’s largest cultivation zone.
With an annual production capacity of up to 200.000 MT of fresh tomatoes, Damavand combines large-scale capability with operational flexibility to serve retailers, food service companies and food manufacturers worldwide.
Its proximity to major cultivation zones allows tomatoes to be processed shortly after harvesting, preserving freshness, ensuring consistent quality and supporting full traceability. Damavand sources tomato 100% from Greek growers, and is fully aligned with European food safety and quality standards.
Working closely with local growers, Damavand supports cultivation practices that ensure stable supply and product consistency. Damavand’s commitment to sustainable agriculture predates industry mandates, as all tomatoes processed are sustainably grown according to the FSA certification. Continuous investments in modern processing equipment and production processes, combined with internationally recognized certifications including FSA, IFS, BRC, ISO, HACCP and SMETA (Sedex) enable the company to meet the strict requirements of the global food industry.
