The 16th ISHS International Symposium on Processing Tomato which was initially scheduled to take place in March  2020 has been confirmed for 20-24 March 2022 in San Juan (Argentina) alongside the 16th WPTC World Processing Tomato Congress.

Anticipating that not everyone will be able to travel to San Juan and to plan for the risk of an in-person event being impossible at the last minute, the symposium will be planned as an hybrid event, with the possibility for attendees to follow the sessions remotely, and with the setup fully in place to move everything online if deemed necessary closer to the event. This will ensure that the event is not cancelled or postponed again. Some of the symposium sessions may be scheduled to take place fully online early in March 2022.

All the papers accepted for oral or poster presentation in 2020 will automatically be included in the new program, but the call for papers is now being reopened in case researchers who were not able to attend can present their research or already registered speakers want to amend their abstract in order to present new data.

The new deadlines for submission are:
– Abstract submission: December 15, 2021
– Abstract corrections: January 15, 2022
– Full text paper submission: March 15, 2022

The program of the symposium will be published in January 2022.
