The harvest season started at the same time as last year, with small quantities of organic tomatoes. The total duration of the campaign was 18 weeks, 2 weeks more than last year.
The PTAB released the last figures for the 2025 season in California. As of November 1st, the official number is 10,537,041 tons (11,615,099 short tons). The 2025 figure is 5.9% more than last year and 1.3% less than the average of the last 5 years.

The total organic production this year was 545.243 tonnes (601.027 short tons). The percentage of organic production, compared to the overall production, was 5.2%, which is above the average of the last 5 years (5%).

The first 12 counties in California represent 96.5% of the total production. With a total of 7.2 million tons, Fresno, Yolo, Kings and Merced account for more than 63,7% of this year’s production.
