According to the figures collected by PTAB, the 2022 California processing tomato deliveries are steadily increasing. For week six (ending August 13th) PTAB is estimating 724,931 metric tonnes (mT) (799,100 short tons (sT)) were delivered to the factories. Week seven (ending August 20th) is estimated to be 813,391 mT (896,610 sT) which would bring the year-to-date total to an estimated 4,000,356 mT (4,409,638 sT).
For actual tons delivered (2.713 million mT) through week five, California is tracking below (-21%) the five year average (3,118 mT).

The 2022 California Organic processing tomato deliveries for the week five (ending August 6th) were 50,646 mT (55,833 sT). The total tons YTD for week five is 362,073 mT (399,117 sT), or 15% of the actual total delivered quantities. Provisional total is 8% lower than in 2021 on the same date and 21% higher than the average quantity processed during past three seasons at this time.

If the weekly projections come true, the projected quantities on August 20 would represent approximately 38% of the California processors' target. (10.6 million mT).
