According to the figures released on August 4 by Westconfoods, the 2022 California processing tomato deliveries are steadily increasing. For week four (ending July 30th) PTAB is estimating 696,712 metric tonnes (mT) (767,993 short tons (sT)) were delivered to the factories. Week five (ending August 6th) is estimated to be 758,747 mT (836,375 sT) which would bring the year-to-date total to an estimated 2,468,367 mT (2,720,909 sT).
For actual tons delivered, California is tracking below (-29%) the five year average (1,440,099 mT).

If the weekly projections come true, the quantities processed would represent approximately 23% of the California processors' target. (10.6 million mT).
