WPTC Crop update as of 15 March 2019

In Australia, the expected total tonnes for this season is now at approximately 221,500 tonnes. January was very hot, with many days between 40-45°C. Many crops were also affected by Bacterial Speck prior to Christmas.

In Argentina, weather conditions are fair. The forecast remains 400,000 tonnes and 70% of this tonnage has already been harvested.

In Chile, the yields are according with the forecast. Weather conditions are very good, dry, hot during the day but with around 14°C during the nights. Around 65% of the total harvest is already finished. Factories should be running until the last week of April.
