Mutti opens company restaurant, floors made with discarded tomatoes
In fact, the inaugurated space was conceived from the very beginning to be more than a company restaurant: a space in which to realize, through an excellent catering service, entrusted to VCook, a company of the Cerea family of the Da Vittorio restaurant in Brusaporto, the environmentally friendly gastronomic philosophy that has always characterized Mutti and which is already applied in its line of references, from sauces to fresh soups.

After an initial phase in which it will be open exclusively to Mutti employees from the Montechiarugolo headquarters, the final objective will see the restaurant open to the community , generating further economic benefits for the area and confirming Parma as a gastronomic destination of excellence within the Food Valley.
“When we began to think about the possibility of building a company restaurant, we knew that we did not want to give up, in any way, what is most important to us at Mutti: quality, understood here in its broadest sense,” commented Francesco Mutti, CEO of the company. “We wanted to give our people a place where the company philosophy could be perceived, and where they could see our vision of a world in which well-being and environmental sustainability are two sides of the same coin, and in both, good food plays a central role. Carlo Ratti, together with his team, was able to perfectly interpret the founding values of Mutti to create a building that reflects us in every way.”
Regarding the project, Carlo Ratti , Founding Partner and Chairman of CRA – Carlo Ratti Associati, added: “We started from a rather simple and primordial gesture: extracting earth from the earth, raising a clod to build a new space. The project, in fact, continues our research to merge the natural and artificial worlds: we thought of a dynamic and open space, where people are not only under the sod and immersed in greenery, but also in a place where they can meet.”
The project is in continuity with the master plan already started by CRA – Carlo Ratti Associati and Italo Rota Studio in 2016 for the company, the first piece of which was The Greenary, the housing structure built around a tree and which has been the residence of Francesco Mutti since 2021.
