California: Weekly tonnage as of 10 August 2025
The harvest season started at the same time as last year, with small quantities of organic tomatoes. Figures collected by the PTAB show that California processing tomato deliveries are reaching the peak.
For week six (ending August 10th) PTAB is estimating 948,171 metric tonnes (t) (860,166 short tons) were delivered to the factories. Week seven (ending August 17th) is estimated to be 906,934 t (999,724 short tons) which would bring the year-to-date total to an estimated 3,890,976 t (4,289,067 short tons).

The 2025 California Organic processing tomato deliveries for the week five (ending August 3rd) were 59,787 t (65,904 short tons).

If the weekly projections come true, the projected quantities on August 10 would represent approximately 31.9% of the California processors’ target (9.34 million t) and would be 13.3% above the average quantities delivered on the same date over past five years.
