California processing tomato deliveries are ramping up. For this second week of deliveries (week 28, ending July 14, 2018), PTAB projects 256,000 short tons (sT) (232,200 metric tonnes). While things are starting to ramp up, quantities are still behind last year’s deliveries by 107,220 sT (79,200 mT). It is estimated that another 724,400 sT (657,100 mT) will be harvested by week ending July 21st, which would bring the total harvested quantities up to 989,200 sT (897,300 mT).
