Argentina to host the World Processing Tomato Congress in 2020

The decision was taken at the end of February, during the General Assembly held at the Food Processing Expo organized by the CLFP in Sacramento (California). The 14th congress and 16th Symposium will be hosted by the Argentine province of San Juan in March 2020.

In the presence of the delegations representing the tomato processing industries of Canada, California, Portugal, China, Spain, Italy, Turkey, France, Japan and Greece, the nomination of the Argentine industry was defended by the representative of the Government of San Juan, Mr. Ariel Lucero Reinoso, Secretary of State for Agriculture, Livestock and Agro-Industry, accompanied by Mr. Cosme Argerich (INTA, Tomate 2000 Association) Chairman of the WPTC Research Commission.
