Agriloop’s Webinar on Developing High Value products from Agricultural Residues

AgriLoop is a major European Union, UK Research and Innovation and Chinese-funded project looking for new ways to convert agricultural-food residues into high-value, eco-friendly products, such as food and feed ingredients and bio-based materials.
The AgriLoop consortium aims to extend the agricultural production value of two major players of the global bioeconomy: the European Union and China.
The AgriLoop consortium consists of 35 partners from 11 countries, of which 20 from eight European Union Countries, two from non-European Union Countries and 13 partners from China. These partners include: 19 universities and research centers, a regional farmers’ cooperative and 14 SMEs.
They organize an online Webinar on the 6th March, on Developing High-Value Products from Agricultural Residues.
This webinar will cover:
- Innovative solutions: the latest advancements in safe and sustainable methods for transforming agri-food residues (tomato, peanut, apple, potato, grape and so on) into proteins, biodegradable PHA-based materials and plant-based polyesters.
- Collaboration across borders: representatives from academic and industrial partners in Europe and China are joining forces to pioneer by-design approaches, setting the stage for a sustainable future.
- End-user testing: how the functionality and value of these bio-based products will be rigorously tested by end-users, including farmers and bio-processors.
- A Q&A session will follow.
