According to the statement published by the company on 31 October, after the end of its 12th harvest and processing season, 2019 was quite difficult for Agrofusion. “In the first half of the season, tomatoes maturated slower than planned and the season started later due to unfavourable weather conditions. The second half was good with average Brix 4.7 and final volume 588,000 metric tonnes of tomatoes”, the company said. Finally the volume of processed raw materials was lower than forecasted in August, as the processor intended to increase its processed quantity by 23% compared with 2018 result.
In season 2019 Agrofusion group of companies have completed the supervisory and re-certification audits:- Re-certification audit on tomatoes safety Global G.A.P and the InagroTM tomato paste quality and safety according to FSSC 22000 standard. In compliance with FSSC 22000 certification scheme all audits in season 2019 were unannounced.
- Confirmed compliance with the international standard on environmental management ISO 14001.
The main feature in 2019 was the change-over from OHSAS 18001 occupational safety and health standard to ISO 45001 standard in all plants at the same time.
As the results of audits, InagroTM tomato products are produced in accordance with the advanced world standards.
