The 2025 harvest is progressing well in the Southern Hemisphere.

In ARGENTINA, the harvest is running well with some delays due to high yields particularly in early and mid season plantings in San Juan and La Rioja Provinces. Mendoza has started now with dry weather. The forecast at this moment is 585,000 tonnes.

In AUSTRALIA, the new forecast is 205,000 tonnes. To date, 100,000 tonnes have been harvested with a perfect harvesting weather and no significant rain forecasted in short term. Exceptional yield results are being recorded, and brix results have been high across industry.

In CHILE, the weather has been stable without rain, but there have been some heat waves during the month of February. The latest production estimate is a little more conservative than the previous one, and it has been lowered by 50,000 tonnes of fresh tomatoes. The new estimated volume is 1,340,000 tonnes. The estimated end-of-harvest date remains for the last days of April.

In PERU, the harvest finished in the last week of February with a slightly larger volume processed of 160,000 tonnes of tomatoes, leading to a record volume of 28,000 tonnes of tomato paste produced by Patagoniafresh.
