Update (30/11/2018): It is now reported that only 200 hectares of tomato fields were hit by the hailstorms which affected mainly cherry, peach, plum and blueberry orchards. This week, transplanting of the tomato fields is ending with warm and good weather condition. A total of 11,700 hectares will be planted which should bring 1,143,000 metric tonnes of tomatoes (expected yield of 98 mT/ha).
