Spain: Las Marismas appoints new general manager

Following the elections last March, the Board of Directors of Las Marismas de Lebrija SCA has appointed a new manager in charge of overseeing the company, whose main objectives will be to boost the growth of the cooperative and its members while further professionalizing its services and procedures.

 A law graduate from the University of Seville with an executive MBA from the San Telmo International Institute, Mr. Alberto Jurado has a long experience at the head of several organizations of the sector, previously as General Manager of Vegetalia, DOSBIO or Herba Puerto Rico, and in other important positions such as International Commercial Director at Atlantic Blue or AgroMairena.
His career in the food and ingredients sector is notable for the development of new business lines for the multinational companies in which he has worked, as well as the design and implementation of new commercial and sales strategies and channels.

 Speaking about the appointment of Alberto Jurado to the general management of Las Marismas de Lebrija SCA, the President of the cooperative, José Tejero, welcomed him, recalling "the satisfaction that represents for our organization the fact of welcoming an executive with a long professional career in which the achievement of important objectives clearly stands out. As a Board of Directors, we want to give a boost to our cooperative, and we are convinced that the personality of Alberto Jurado will help us to implement new strategies that will allow us to place our company among the references of the agri-food sector, both nationally and internationally, through the research and development of new products."
