Spain: CONESA Group acquires two AlgoSur plants

          Dear Sirs,
I am glad to announce that last 11th October, Grupo Empresarial Conesa took over the two tomato processing factories belonging to Algosur Group located in Sevilla area. Specifically Algosur-Pinzon S.LU located in Pinzon with 2.200 tons of daily processing capacity and Transformados Agricolas del Bajo Guadalquivir S.LU (TRAVIR) located in Trobal with 5,800 tons of daily processing capacity. Both have very modern facilities fully accredited to produce tomato paste and pasata/crush tomatoes,

With this acquisition CONESA Group with three factories in Vegas Bajas and two factories Vegas Altas in Extremadura-Spain, two factories in Portugal, one paste factory in China and one tomato powder factory in California, expands its activity to a recently new and expanding area for growing tomatoes in Sevilla, becomes the largest tomato processing company in the Mediterranean area with a processing capacity of 25.000 tons per day and 1,4 million tons per crop and will be among the top 5 worldwide with regards to fresh tomato processing volume.
