Japan interested in India's food processing sector 

Japanese companies are keen to invest in India's food processing sector, especially in fruits, vegetables and spices, and make India a prospective base and export hub. "One of the Japanese firms engaged in manufacturing tomato paste wants to become a global leader and is looking at India for sourcing the commodity in huge quantity," Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal explained in early March after a visit to Japanese Minister of Agriculture Ken Saito
