For week nine (ending August 29th) PTAB is estimating 819,051 metric tonnes (t) (902,849 short tons) were delivered to the factories. Week ten (ending September 5th) is estimated to be 835,365 t (920,832 short tons) which would bring the year-to-date total to an estimated 6,053,465 t (6,672,803 short tons).

The 2026 California Organic processing tomato deliveries for the week eight (ending August 22nd) were 25,036 t (27,597 short tons).

If the weekly projections come true, the projected quantities on September 5 would represent approximately 67.3% of the California processors’ target (9 million t) and would be 9.72% below the average quantities delivered on the same date last year, and 2.6% below the average quantities delivered in the last 5 years.
