Reference price down by close on 3%
The 2017 price negotiations that were launched last January have just been concluded with eight major Californian processors. An agreement has been reached for a base price of USD 70.5 /sT (about EUR 72.4 /mT) for the following processing operators: Campbell Soup Company, Del Monte Foods, Ingomar Packing Company, Los Gatos Tomato Products, Mizkan America, Morning Star Packing Company, Neil Jones Food Company and Stanislaus Food Products.

Discussions are still ongoing with Escalon Premier Brands, Olam Tomato Processors, and ConAgra Foods.
The 2017 reference price is 2.8% lower than it was last year (USD 72.5 /sT).
