According to figures collected by PTAB, the California’s 2023 processing tomato harvest tonnage for the week ten (ending September 16th) is estimated to deliver 900,130 t (metric tonnes) (992,224 short tons) to the factories.

Week eleven (ending September 23rd) is estimated to be 936,322 t (1,032,118 short tons) which would bring the year-to-date total to an estimated 7,687,660 t (8,474,195 short tons). 
For actual tonnes delivered (5,851 million t) through week nine, California is tracking above (+4.6%) the five year average (5.59 million t). Data collected by PTAB show that YTD solids amount to 5.23 compared to 5.36 for the same time period in the 2022 season or 0.13 lower. There were 252,037 loads delivered as of September 9, 2023, or 21,864 less than in 2022 for same time period.

The 2023 California Organic processing tomato deliveries for the week nine (ending September 9th) were 29,737 t (32,783 short tons). The total tons YTD for week nine is 495,445 t (546,135 short tons), or 8.5% of the actual total delivered quantities.
The current total is currently the third largest in the history of California organic production. Provisional total is 8% higher than in 2022 on the same date and 5% higher than the average quantity processed during past three seasons at this time.
If the weekly projections come true, the projected quantities on September 2 would represent approximately 60% of the California processors' target (10.89 million t).
