Australian government funds disease scan for tomatoes

The Australian Processing Tomato Research Council will receive a AUD 50 000 fund research grant from the Victorian government’s Horticulture Innovation Fund. The Shepparton-based tomato industry body will establish a hyperspectral library for early disease symptoms of processing tomatoes to distinguish between plant disease and other stresses or nutrient deficiency.
