In a recent declaration about the level of production in the San Juan province, and the problems caused by imported paste, the representative of the Tomate 2000 association, Horacio Angelelli, announced: "We are going to increase the surfaces planted with processing tomatoes by 10%."
At the same time, Mr. Angelelli pointed out that the flow of imports has remained steady because local production remains insufficient and foreign produced products are cheaper than local production.
