AINPO Launches Integrated e-DDT Transport Document

AINPO accelerates supply chain digitalization: e-DDT, the digital transport document integrated with Tomato Life Cycle, is launched ahead of Cibus Tec 2026.

AINPO, a Producers’ Organization specializing in the processing tomato sector, is taking a new step in the association’s digitalization journey.

Thanks to the implementation of the updated XMS 4.1 management platform, AINPO introduces eDDT, the new system for managing transport documents in digital format.

The transport document is the first step in the traceability process, accompanying the agricultural raw material from the field to the processing industry.

With AINPO e-DDT, a QR code is generated simultaneously when the transport document is issued.
This becomes the product’s digital identifier and links its journey to the information collected through Tomato Life Cycle, the project developed by AINPO to map, track, and enhance the tomato life cycle.

In this way, an operational step in the supply chain also becomes the point at which the product’s digital identity is created, without the need to manage separate processes.

The solution reduces the use of paper documentation and manual steps, allowing data to be acquired
directly at the source and allowing data to be captured at the source and carried forward through the subsequent stages of the supply chain.

This step reinforces AINPO’s vision of traceability, understood not only as a requirement for supply chain management but also as a tool for making information related to the product, the producers’ work, and the territory accessible and valorized.

AINPO e-DDT is part of the process initiated with XMS 4.1, the platform that organizes data from the entire campaign cycle, from planting intentions to the end of the growing season. On this basis, Tomato Life Cycle is developed, transforming data into useful information to describe the tomato’s journey: from origin to agronomic choices, from compliance with integrated production regulations to harvest and certification.

XMS 4.1, Tomato Life Cycle, and AINPO e-DDT are part of a single process: the platform collects and organizes data, Tomato Life Cycle enhances it, and AINPO e-DDT integrates the delivery process directly from the field, generating the QR code associated with the product.

The new technological frontiers introduced by the association will be the focus of AINPO’s participation at Cibus Tec 2026 (scheduled at Fiere di Parma from October 27 to 30), a global showcase of excellence for technological innovation in the food and beverage sector.

Launched in 2023, AINPO’s innovation journey will continue with new solutions for monitoring production data and recording harvest volumes and quality.

Every tomato has a story that defines its identity, and AINPO’s journey will continue to evolve to tell and enhance it, step by step, through data.
