Isi Sementi and Top Seeds to merge in 2025

ISI Sementi SpA, a leading seed company based in Italy, and Top Seeds International Ltd., an innovative seed company based in Israel, both belonging to the Mitsui & Co., Ltd. group and focused on research and development, announced on November 21, 2024, their plan to integrate into one company.

 The new company will be headquartered in Fidenza, Italy, and will focus on serving customers in key markets better and more closely, leveraging the existing locations of both companies and integrating their complementary strengths, particularly in research and breeding. This approach aims to develop innovative vegetable varieties and offer more complete and distinctive solutions to customers worldwide.
As part of the new entity’s long-term vision to advance horticulture through innovation and partnerships, the new company will further focus on co-creating solutions that support the production of high-quality, resilient crops that meet consumer needs in key markets. It will offer customers across multiple geographies a broader portfolio of choices and solutions, including tomatoes, peppers, leafy vegetables, brassicas, onions and cucumbers. 
The new company is expected to begin operations in April 2025.
