The harvest season started at the same time as last year, with an important quantity of organic tomatoes. Figures collected by the PTAB show that California processing tomato deliveries are now continuing to decline.
For week fourteen (ending October 3rd) PTAB is estimating 566,510 metric tonnes (t) (624,470 short tons) were delivered to the factories. Week fifteen (ending October 10th) is estimated to be 350,509 t (386,370 short tons) which would bring the year-to-date total to an estimated 9,272,897 t (10,221,69 short tons).

The 2026 California Organic processing tomato deliveries for the week thirteen (ending September 26th) were 18,743 t (20,661 short tons).

If the weekly projections come true, the projected quantities on October 10 would represent approximately 102.2% of the California processors’ target (9.072 million t) and would be 9.82% below the average quantities delivered on the same date last year, and 2.93% below the average quantities delivered in the last 5 years.
