Valfrutta launches a new eco-sustainable packaging for its pureed tomatoes
An eco-sustainable restyling
The first stage of this innovation in the Valfrutta al Vapore range concerns the graphic restyling of the Passata Vellutata in a 1000 g carton and of the Pulpa Fine in the 390 g Tetra Recart format. A renewal that has made it possible to standardize all the “red” ranges under the Valfrutta brand, with the aim of further reducing the impact on the environment. Both packages in fact present excellent characteristics from the point of view of sustainability, such as the high percentage of vegetable raw materials they are composed of (64% for the 1000 carton, over 70% for the Tetra Recart) and the fact that they are recyclable in most Italian municipalities. Furthermore, the Tetra Recart has an 83% lower impact on carbon dioxide emissions compared to jar and can packaging (source: LCA studies – Italy) and is FSC® certified (paper obtained from responsibly managed forests). A series of green “pluses” that highlight Valfrutta's attention to the environment and that, combined with the recommended retail price (RPR) – 1.29 euros for the 1000 g carton and 0.79 euros for the 390 g Tetra Recart – make this product very interesting for the consumer.
