Severe thunderstorms and hail in Navarra
On 8 July, extremely heavy rainstorms hit the province of Navarra in northern Spain and caused significant flooding. According to local media reports, some areas received more than 100 mm in just a few hours, causing the Cidacos River to overflow into several areas around the city of Tafalla.

These poor weather conditions could have an impact on the region's tomato industry: it appears that about 50 ha of tomato were destroyed around Tafalla by the flooding of the Cidacos River. In addition, several hail storms have affected about 80-90 ha in different locations, but it is too early to assess the actual damage caused to tomato crops by these storms.
