As a follow-up to the presentation "Latest trends in the global market for tomato products" presented by Mr. Javier Muñoz (Euromonitor International) during the October 2023 Cibustec, and following on from the articles already published regarding a number of regional markets and product categories, TomatoNews presents the situation as it stood in 2022 and the development prospects for the eight major consumption regions and for the nine product families derived from tomatoes, or which may contain tomatoes, as identified by Euromonitor.
Regions of consumption
Evolution of region-specific components (total volumes and retail sales value) of the worldwide market.
 
For each of the regions studied, the graphs show, in sequence:
  The evolution of the annual value in Euros of retail sales (value of food service sales not available), broken down by product category, from 2017 to 2027 (projected figures for the last five years).
  Product components, by value (retail sales, in Euros), in 2022.
  Comparison of the evolution of product categories from 2017 to 2027.
  Product components, by volumes (t) for the entire market in 2022.
  Average annual growth rates (CAGR%) by product, recorded over the 2017/2022 period and forecast for the 2022/2027 period. In these diagrams, the size of the "bubbles" corresponds to the size of the markets in 2022.
  The breakdown of sales volumes between retail distribution channels and the food service sector for the 2017/2022 period, for each product category.
