China seeks to invest in Kazakhstan

China’s large companies interested in investing in Kazakhstan

According to the Kazakh Government’s press service, cited by Kazinform News Agency, Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin met in Urumqi on June 25 with heads of seven largest companies of China that launch projects in Kazakhstan are seeking partners.

 In addition to several companies active in grain processing for the production of maltose and fructose syrups, or drip irrigation technologies and equipment which have proven themselves in the Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region, the XUAR’s largest COFCO Sugar Holding engaged in the sugar industry and tomato processing business introduced the advanced semi-dry sugar technology. The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Agriculture Vice Minister to debate setting up tomato paste production in Kazakhstan.
