California: Weekly tonnage as of 17 October 2026

The harvest season started at the same time as last year, with an important quantity of organic tomatoes. Figures collected by the PTAB show that California processing tomato deliveries are now coming to an end.

For week sixteen (ending October 17th) PTAB is estimating 77,332 metric tonnes (t) (85,244 short tons) were delivered to the factories. Week seventeen (ending October 24th) is estimated to be 18,781 t (20,70 short tons) which would bring the year-to-date total to an estimated 9,356,911 t (10,314,229 short tons). 

The 2026 California Organic processing tomato deliveries for the week fifteen (ending October 10th) were 13,321 t (14,684 short tons). 

If the weekly projections come true, the projected quantities on October 17 would represent approximately 100.2% of the California processors’ target (9.340 million t as of October 9th) and would be 11.27% below the average quantities delivered on the same date last year, and 6.82% below the average quantities delivered in the last 5 years.
