The harvest season started at the same time as last year, with an important quantity of organic tomatoes. Figures collected by the PTAB show that California processing tomato deliveries are slowly coming to an end.
For week fifteen (ending October 10th) PTAB is estimating 346,449 metric tonnes (t) (381,895 short tons) were delivered to the factories. Week sixteen (ending October 17th) is estimated to be 80,592 t (88,837 short tons) which would bring the year-to-date total to an estimated 9,344,893 t (10,300,981 short tons).

The 2026 California Organic processing tomato deliveries for the week fourteen (ending October 3rd) were 15,736 t (17,346 short tons).

If the weekly projections come true, the projected quantities on October 10 would represent approximately 100.1% of the California processors’ target (9.340 million t as of October 9th) and would be 11.24% below the average quantities delivered on the same date last year, and 4.52% below the average quantities delivered in the last 5 years.
